OPEN POSITIONS
| The Early Head Start program provides services for children
and their families and pregnant women in the areas of early childhood
development, disabilities, child health and safety, nutrition, prenatal
education, and family partnerships. We are looking to fill the following
positions: Parent Involvement Specialist - 19 hours
The Parent Involvement Specialist supports parent involvement, family
partnerships, community partnerships and the fatherhood involvement areas of
the program. This job requires a high school diploma, a minimum of one year
of related experience in social or family services, knowledge of community
resources, and experience working with children and families.
Spanish Language Services Specialist - 19 hours
The Spanish Language Services Specialist provides written translation of
documents and forms and interpretation during specific activities for Early
Head Start staff and the children and families served. This job requires a
high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of related
experience in translating in Spanish.
Health Services Specialist - 19 hours
The Health Services Specialist works with the Health Services
Facilitator to assure the activities in the health, nutrition and safe
environments areas of the Early Head Start program are carried out
effectively. Ensures compliance with program goals related to the health and
development of children and pregnant women in the program. This job requires
a high school diploma and experience in public health, health education,
maternal and child health, or related field; and a minimum of one year of
related experience; knowledge of child development and family dynamics; and
knowledge of community resources.
Spanish Interpreter - 10 hours
The Interpreter will provide written translation of documents and forms
and interpretation during specific activities for Early Head Start staff and
the children and families served. This job requires a high school diploma or
equivalent, a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and
translating another language, and training or experience in teaching adults. |
Classroom Substitutes
All sites
Called as neededSubstitutes in the classroom for absent instructors. Aids
the lead instructor in providing individual and group services to children
enrolled in Play 'n Learn® groups. May help prepare visual aids, music,
crafts, decorations, and interactive snacks. Uses music, repetition, simple
actions, and modeling to teach children. Helps set up and clean group areas.
Experience with young children required. |
