In his State of the Union address in 2002, President Bush encouraged each of us to volunteer 2 years or 4,000 hours to service. DDI VANTAGE has many opportunities for volunteers. Volunteers may choose to offer their services a few hours per week, once a month or even a one time service. We can work it out. Click here for wish list for donations The following volunteer positions are available: Assisting with activities such as Family Fun Night in June, CARE FAIR in August, and the Fall Festival in October. Click Upcoming Events for dates, times and more information. Youth, adults and families welcome. Providing childcare for parents during our 2 hour parenting classes. Click Parent Training for dates, times and more information. Youth, adults and families welcome. Assisting with play groups for children ages 2 and 3 with developmental delays and disabilities. You can help prepare for the class or work in the classroom. Classes run Monday through Thursday at 9:00, 11:00 and 1:00 and run 1 1/2 hours each at most of our sites. Youth and adults. Cleaning play group room at each site. Duties may include: washing toys in play area, washing large equipment in gross motor supply room, organize toys in cupboards, scrub the walls in group room, clean out supply cupboards, clean out kitchen cupboards. After 3:00 p.m. daily. Groups, youth and adults welcome. Host a drive to collect any of the following items: books for infants and toddlers, diapers and wipes (sizes 3 and 4 are highly requested), paper products (napkins, cups, plates, etc.), dress up items appropriate for children between age 2 and 4. Groups, youth and adults welcome. Assist with play group preparations such as: cutting out clipart, drawing scenes, put together parent and birthday packs, filing in Play 'n Learn® library. Build a puppet stage for toddlers. Groups, youth and adults welcome. Good eagle project. Distributing posters to businesses and agencies in the community. Transportation required. Mileage will be reimbursed. Youth, adults and families welcome. Any hours between 8:30 and 4:30. Filing medical records at one of our offices in Tooele, Roosevelt or West Valley City. Adults only. Any hours between 8:30 and 4:30. Translators who are fluent in Spanish/English to translate forms, flyers, etc. for Spanish speaking families. Can work during your own time and over email. Youth and adults welcome. Interpreters who are fluent in Spanish/English to assist with various activities such as the Family Fun Night in June and the CARE FAIR in August.
